Why escrow matters for Bangladesh resale
Holding payment until the buyer confirms isn't a feature — it's the reason the secondary market can finally scale.

Bangladesh's resale market has always been peer-to-peer: Bikroy, Facebook groups, classifieds. The trust problem is structural — neither party has recourse if the other defaults.
Escrow rewrites the contract. The buyer pays into a held account, the seller ships, the buyer inspects, and only then is the seller paid. resale.bd built this on top of 1shop wallet rails in 2018, and it's now the default for every transaction over ৳5,000.
